Putra Prapti , Horoscope and Hariharaputran

For some obvious reasons... I had stopped looking Horoscopes for the past one year.. except for very few cases.... The main reason was when one of our family friend insisted me to see a horoscope regarding child birth... 

Even for getting a remedy - one's Karma has to permit him... 

In Bharata desham, birth of a child has always been a priority after marriage. After almost 10 years of marriage, and almost all the "Professional" astrologers have discouraged them. 

Analysing a horoscope for child birth has to be done very accurately... Most of the astrologers fail to differentiate between Childlessness and delay in Child birth.

Immediately a Sarpa Shanti is suggested by them.... And what people generally do is perform a puja at Kalahasti or visit Tirunageswaram and start complaining again.

And delay in child birth may be due to the bad influence of any of the nine grahas... First this has to be identified... only after this pariharam has to be suggested. Not every childlessness is connected to Naaga dosha.

Sarpa Dosha is caused due to various reasons.. One cannot simply generalize this... This occurs due to the wrath of the Serpent in previous birth. Due to Sarpa dosha, marriages may be delayed, Progeny may be denied and/or  miscarriages will occur. There are many varieties of Sarpa dosham. Based on this the parihara has to be decided. For most of the cases a simple pushpanjali (on appropriate place and time) would solve the entire issue... 

Yet another  important fact is, the devatas who actually control the navagrahas... For example to please (Chevvai) Mars, without pleasing Subramanya one cannot get 100% result and get the problem resolved.

And coming back to our case.. A lot of issues were present in both the horoscopes and something struck me... I closed the horoscope and returned it... My only suggestion was to fall at the feet of "My beloved". A Lord who can cause fear even to the Prarabdham... 

An archana for Lord Maha Sastha at a specific Sasthru kshetram  - for seven consecutive weeks. I suggested to light the lamp at their home during the same time (when the archana is done) and pray to the Lord earnestly to grant a putra prapti...

I think its needess to say about the result... 

Aryankavu Siddhar

Last month a devotee came to my house to meet me...  I had a surprising news from regarding a saint named "Aryankavu Siddhar".... 

Aryankavu is a unique spot - where the Lord will instantly raise the inner feeling and give you the divine awakening. This is the very spot "my beloved" made me understand that "HE is my everything" and took me under his benign care. He gives an enchanting vision; The divine face glows with Kingly majesty and the eyes are full of compassion. I always have a special place for Aryankavu in my heart.

So the word "Aryankavu" pulled me immediately.... 

I vaguely remember having heard this name "Aryankavu Siddhar" before - but didnot or rather could not find any details on this person during my research... 

Now the gentleman who came to my house is his sixth generation descendant and so I was interested in knowing more about this saint... 

But unfortunately we have very very limited information and records about this devotee. Even his original name is not known. 

Around some two hundred years ago a child was born to a Vaishnavite family in Thirunelveli district. The child later became known as Aryankavu Siddhar as he had lived at Aryankavu.

For reason unknown, he had a fascination towards the Lord of Aryankavu.... At the age of seven or eight, on a sunrise the small boy had a vision and a divine call; He was induced to proceed to Aryankavu - the sacred spot of Lord Maha Sastha.

When he reached the divine land - He was awestruck seeing the Lord of Aryankavu, who had called him... The young boy became totally attached to Lord Hariharaputra and decided to spend his life there.

The place was surrounded by dense forests and was the habitat of wild animals. But nothing bothered the boy. The boy was all alone at Aryankavu, serving the Lord - with the company of all wild animals... He slept along with leopards and snakes and whenever hungry, he simply ate fruits and leaves. 

He betook himself to the Lord's forest, where he lived alone for years, until he was sought out and restored to human society by his parents. 

The parents gave up much of  their time searching for their lost son. For many years they met many saints and astrologers to know the whereabouts of their son. Finally an astrologer gave a hint that he might be around "Thenmalai" in a forest- under the care of Lord Sastha.

The parents and the relatives went in search of the boy and finally reached Aryankavu... Everybody were shocked to see the boy sleeping in the forest near the temple amidst snakes and tigers around his body. 

The relatives could not even go near the boy and made many attempts to reach the boy - but could not succeed. 

That night, Lord Sastha appeared in the dream of the temple priest. The Lord ordered the priest to go to the temple, where he would find a small boy amidst the wild animals,  whom he was to wait upon and feed with the prasadam rice and handover him to his parents. When the priest went there no animal was visible to his eyes, so he did what the Lord had ordered and brought the boy to the temple. 

His parents finally got him out of the temple, took him back to their home and pressed him to marry and assume the duties of family life. 

He had no other choice but accept his parents' request. But soon after a child was born, he was unable to bear the influence of samsara, he prayed to the Lord. The Lord asked him come back and also promised to take care of his family and the entire clan. So he again fled from home and reached Aryankavu

He became a wandering monk there and was praised for his spiritual insight and devotion towards Lord Sastha. He lived to a good old age, loved and revered, and finally attained oneness with his beloved Aryan.

ஆதி முதல்வனான இறைவன் யார்?

ஏகம் ஸத் விப்ரா பஹுதா வதந்தி - ஸத்யமான ஒரே வஸ்துவைக் குறித்து பலரும் பல விதமாக கூறுகிறார்கள். வேதமும் பல்வேறு வகையில் இதனை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. 

பரம்பொருளைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லும்போது அது நிராகாரம், நிர்குணம் - உருவமற்றது, குணமற்றது என்கிறது வேதம். இருந்த போதும் சில இடங்களில் அந்தந்த தெய்வத்தையே கூறுகின்றன.

சில இடங்களில் "பரப்ரம்மம்" என்கிறது. சில சமயம் "ஸத்" என்கிறது; சில சமயம் "பரம புருஷன் " என்கிறது. சில நேரங்களில் அதுவே விஷ்ணு, ருத்ரன், ஆத்மா, பரமாத்மா என்கிறது.

இவை அனைத்துமே ஒரே பரம்பொருளைக் குறிக்கக்கூடிய வேறு வேறு பெயர்கள் தாம். ஏனென்றால் அநாதியான வேதமே - ஏகம் ஏவ அத்விதீயம் (ஏகமேவாத்விதீயம்) ஒன்றே உள்ளது - என்று தெளிவாக கூறுகிறது.

சந்தேகத்துக்கு இடமின்றி, வேதங்கள் அனைத்தும் போற்றிப் புகழும் அந்தப் பரம்பொருள் ஸ்ரீ மஹா சாஸ்தா தான் என்பது அடியேனின் தெளிவு.

ஸ்ரீமஹாசாஸ்தாவை உபாஸிக்கும் ஒரு உபாஸகன் என்ற முறையில் மட்டுமல்லாமல் ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சியாளன், எழுத்தாளன் என்ற முறையிலும் அடியேனால் இதனை அறுதியிட்டுக் கூற முடியும்.

பரம புருஷனான சாஸ்தா 

வேதங்களும், உபநிஷத்துக்களும் மிகத்தெளிவாகவே இறை தத்துவத்தை விளக்குகின்றன. நான்கு வேதங்களிலுமே காணக்கிடைக்கும் ஒரு அற்புதமான பகுதி புருஷ ஸூக்தம். இது எங்கும் விளங்கி நிற்கும் பரம புருஷனான பரம்பொருளைக் குறித்தது. 

இந்த பரம புருஷனைப் பற்றிய வேத வாக்யங்கள்தான் புருஷ ஸூக்தம்

இந்த புருஷன் யார்? பரமாத்மா இந்த ப்ரம்மாண்டம் எங்கும் வ்யாபித்து, இந்த அண்டத்தையும் பிளந்து அகண்ட விராட் வடிவில் ஆயிரம் தலைகள், ஆயிரம் கண்கள், ஆயிரம் கால்களோடு வெளிப்படுகிறான். "வேதாஹ மேதம் புருஷம் மஹாந்தம்" "யத் புருஷம் வ்யதது:" - என்னையே அந்த பரம புருஷனாக அறி என்கிறார்.

அனைத்துக்கும் ஆதாரமாக, ஆதி முதல் காரணமாக வேதம் போற்றும் அந்த "பரம புருஷன்" - ப்ரப்ரம்மம் சாஸ்தாவேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

ஹ்ரீஸ்ச தே லக்ஷ்மீஸ் ச பத்ன்யௌ என்கிறது புருஷ ஸூக்தம்

எவன் ஒருவனுக்கு ஹ்ரீயும் ஸ்ரீயும் பத்னியாகிறார்களோ.... 

ஹ்ரீ என்பது சக்தி ஸ்வரூபம்; ஸ்ரீ என்பது லக்ஷ்மீ ஸ்வரூபம்.

சக்தி ஸ்வரூபம் என்பது புஷ்கலா தேவி; லக்ஷ்மீ ஸ்வரூபிணி பூர்ணா தேவி.

எவன் ஒருவனுக்கு ஹ்ரீயும் ஸ்ரீயும் பத்னியாகிறார்களோ - அவனே பூர்ணா புஷ்கலா ஸமேதனான அவனே - புருஷ ஸூக்தம் காட்டும் பரம புருஷனான மஹா சாஸ்தா.

இன்னும் சில அபூர்வமான வேத வாக்யங்களை காண முடியும். 

மைத்ராயணி உபனிஷத்

"ப்ரம்மா, விஷ்ணு, சிவன், சாஸ்தா, ப்ரணவம், ப்ரம்மம் எல்லாம் ஒன்றே" என்கிறது

காலாக்னி ருத்ரோபனிஷத் சிவபெருமானையே "ஸர்வ சாஸ்தா" என்று அழைக்கிறது.

யஜுர் வேதம் "சாஸ்தா அதிபதிர் வோ அஸ்து" என்கிறது. சாஸ்தாவே அனைத்துக்கும் அதிபதி என்பதே வேத வாக்கு.

இந்த வேத வாக்யங்களிலிருந்து புலனாகும் உண்மை என்னவென்றால் சாஸ்தா என்ற தத்துவமானது எல்லா தெய்வங்களையும் உள்ளடக்கியது. இன்னும் தெளிவாகப் பார்த்தால் "சாஸ்தா" என்ற வார்த்தைக்கான நேரடிப் பொருள் - விஷ்ணு, சிவன், ப்ரம்மா, இந்த்ரன் போன்ற மற்ற எல்லா தெய்வத் திருநாமங்களை விடவும் ஆழமான பொருள் கொண்டதாகவே உணர முடியும். 

வேத வாக்யங்கள் எல்லாமே மறை பொருளானவை. அதனை ஆழ்ந்து ஆராய்ந்தால் மட்டுமே அதனுள் ஒளிந்திருக்கும் பொக்கிஷத்தை எடுக்க முடியும்.

விஷ்ணு என்றால் "வியாபித்திருப்பது"; , சிவன் என்றால் "மங்களமானது"; ப்ரம்மா என்றால் "உத்தமமானவன்"; இந்த்ரன் என்றால் "அரசன்" என்று பொருள் தரக்கூடியது. இவை அனைத்தும் வேறு பலவற்றுக்கும் கூட பொருந்தக்கூடிய பொதுவான பெயர்கள் தான். ஆயின் "சாஸ்தா" என்றால் "அனைத்தையும் தன் கட்டளைப்படி இயக்கி நடக்கவைத்து ஆட்சி செய்பவன்" என்பதே பொருள்; இது அனைத்துக்கும் ஆதி முதல் காரணமான கடவுளுக்கு மட்டுமே பொருந்தக் கூடிய பெயர். 

ஆதி நாதனான சாஸ்தா

சாஸ்தா என்றதும் நம்மில் பலருக்கு சபரிமலை ஐயப்பன் கோவில் மட்டுமே நினைவுக்கு வரும். ஆனால் அகில உலகமெங்கும் கணக்கிலடங்கா சாஸ்தா கோவில்கள் பன்னெடுங்காலமாகவே உண்டு. சபரிமலை ஐயப்பன் என்பது சாஸ்தாவின் அவதாரங்களில் ஒன்று.

அனைத்துக்கும் ஆதி முதல் காரணனான ஸ்ரீ மஹாசாஸ்தாவே பரப்ரம்ம வஸ்து. அவருக்கு பூர்ணா - புஷ்கலா என்ற இரண்டு சக்திகள். பல்வேறு தேவ கார்யங்களுக்காக சாஸ்தா எட்டு அவதாரங்களை எடுத்துள்ளார். இந்த எட்டு அவதாரங்களில் ஒரு அவதாரமான ஐயப்பனே (ப்ரம்மச்சர்ய யோக நிலையில்) சபரிமலையில் காணக்கிடைக்கிறது.

ஆயின் வேத முதல்வனான சாஸ்தா பூர்ணா புஷ்கலா ஸஹிதனாக விளங்கும் பரம்பொருள். வேத காலத்தில் ரிஷிகள் அனைவரும் எல்லா தெய்வங்களையும் அக்னியின் மூலமாக மட்டுமே வழிபட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அத்தகைய கால கட்டத்திலேயே கற்களில் சாந்நித்யம் கொண்ட ஸ்வயம்பு மூர்த்தியாக சாஸ்தா வழிபடப்பட்டு வந்திருக்கிறார். அடர்ந்த காடுகளிலும் மலைகளிலும் வாழ்ந்த வேத ரிஷிகளுக்கெல்லாம் இஷ்ட தெய்வமாக விளங்கியவர் ஸ்ரீ சாஸ்தா. அந்த காரணத்தாலேயே சாஸ்தா ஆலயங்கள் பெரும்பாலும் காடுகளிலும் மலைகளிலும் மட்டுமே காணப்படுகிறது.

(ஒரு காலத்தில் அகில உலகமெங்கும் பரவிக் கிடந்த சாஸ்தா வழிபாடு என்பது இன்று காலத்தின் கோலத்தால் நம் தென்னாட்டில் மட்டும் சுருங்கி விட்டது என்பது என் முடிவு)

வேத முதல்வனான சாஸ்தா

இன்றும் வேதம் கற்றறிந்த வேதியர்களால் கொண்டாடப்படும் ஒரு தெய்வமாக சாஸ்தா விளங்குவதைக் காணமுடியும். இவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் இஷ்ட தெய்வமாகவும், குல தெய்வமாகவும், பரதெய்வமாகவும் விளங்குவதும் சாஸ்தா தான். ஐயனுக்கே உரிய சாஸ்தா ப்ரீதி என்ற விசேஷமான வைபவத்தில் வேத கோஷங்கள் முழங்க சாஸ்தாவுக்கு ஆராதனைகள் செய்யப்படுவதை இன்றும் நாம் காண முடியும்.

சாஸ்தாவை "விப்ர பூஜ்யம்" என்று போற்றுகிறோம் - வேதம் கற்றறிந்தவர்ளால் பூஜிக்கப்படுபவன் என்று பொருள்.

ஆக வேதங்களுக்கெல்லாம் முழு முதற் கடவுளான சாஸ்தா வழிபாடு என்பது உடல் வளம், மன வளம், செல்வ வளம் என வாழ்வின் அனைத்து நன்மைகளையும் தந்து இறுதியில் மோக்ஷத்தையும் தர வல்லது. 

சாஸ்த்ரங்களும், பெரியோர்களும் - இந்த கலியுகத்தில் சாஸ்தாவின் வழிபாடு ஒன்றே கதியை தரவல்லது என்று உரைக்கிறது.

"கலௌ சாஸ்த்ரு விநாயகௌ" - கலியுகத்தில் சாஸ்தா மட்டுமே தலைவர்

வேதங்கள் எல்லா தெய்வங்களையும் போற்றுகின்றன என்பது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் "பரம் பொருள்" என்று வேதத்தால் சுட்டிக் காட்டப்படும் அந்த வஸ்து - ஆதி மூல சக்தியான ஸ்ரீ மஹா சாஸ்தா. ருத்ரன், நாராயணன் முதலிய எல்லா பெயர்களும் காரணப் பெயராகவும், ஆகு பெயராகவும் சாஸ்தாவையே உணர்த்தி நிற்கும் எனவும் எல்லாப் பெயரும் மஹாசாஸ்தாவின் பெயர் என்பதே வேதத்தின் துணிபு.

வேதம் கற்றறிந்த அந்தணர்களுக்கு விசேஷமான வேத யக்ஞங்கள் விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. 

வாஜபேயம், பசு பந்தம், ஜ்யோதிஷ்டோமம், அச்வமேதம் ஆகிய வேத யக்ஞங்கள் மிகப் ப்ரபலமானவை. ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நாற்பது ஸம்ஸ்காரங்களுள் - இந்த வேத யக்ஞங்கள் வாழ்வில் ஒரு முறையேனும் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும். இதுவே ஒரு க்ரஹஸ்தனின் தலையாய கடமை. இந்த வேத யக்ஞங்களின் தத்துவம் உத்தமமானது. ஒருவன் தன் நிலத்திலிருந்தும், வியாபாரத்திலிருந்தும், உத்யோகத்திலிருந்தும் சம்பாதிக்கும் நன்மைகளை இந்த உலக மக்களோடு பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளுதலே இந்த யக்ஞங்களின் விசேஷம்.

ஸ்ரீ மஹா சாஸ்தாவை போற்றும் ஹரிஹரபுத்ர ஸஹஸ்ரநாமாவைப் பார்த்தோமானால், வேத முதல்வனான சாஸ்தா தான் இந்த வேத யக்ஞங்களுக்கெல்லாம் அதிபதியாக நின்று பலனை வழங்குபவர் என்பது தெளிவாகும். ( தசரத மஹாராஜன் புத்ர காமேஷ்டி யாகம் செய்த போது, திவ்யமான பாயஸத்தைக் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்து ஸ்ரீ ராமர் தோன்ற காரணமாக விளங்கிய யக்ஞ புருஷன் - ஸாக்ஷாத் ஸ்ரீ மஹா சாஸ்தா தான். விரிவஞ்சி அதனை இங்கு விளக்கவில்லை)

ப்ரபலமாக விளங்கும் சிவ, விஷ்ணு, லலிதா ஸஹஸ்ரநாமங்களிலும் கூட சாஸ்தாவின் ஸஹஸ்ரநாமத்தில் காணப்படும் அளவுக்கு வேதம் குறித்தும், வேத யக்ஞங்கள் குறித்தும் தெளிவாகவும், தொடர்ச்சியாகவும் காண முடியாது என்பதே உண்மை.

த்வாதசாஹ க்ரது ப்ரீதாய, ஆப்தோர்யாம க்ரதுமயாய, பௌண்டரீக பலப்ரதாய, பசுபந்த பலதாத்ரே, வாஜபேயாத்ம தைவதாய போன்ற நாமாக்கள் - வேதங்கள் போற்றும் முதல்வன் சாஸ்தா தான் என்பதை நன்றாக தெளிவு படுத்துகின்றன.

அந்த: ப்ரவிஷ்டஸ் சாஸ்தா ஜனானாம் ஸர்வாத்மா

ஸர்வா: ப்ரஜா யத்ரைகம் பவந்தி 

- தைத்ரீய ஆரண்யகம்

எந்த இடத்தில் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் ஒருவராக காட்சியளிக்கிறார்களோ, எந்த பரமாத்மா ஸகல ப்ரஜைகளின் உள்ளத்திலும் குடி கொண்டிருக்கிறரோ, அத்தகைய பரமாத்மா வாக்குக்கும், மனத்துக்கும் எட்டாத நிலையில் இருந்தும், அவர்களின் பாக்ய விசேஷத்தினால் ஸ்ரீ சாஸ்தா என்ற திருநாமம் பூண்டு என்றென்றும் ஆட்சி புரிகிறார்.

Padikkasu Sastha - The Lord who gave Gold coin everyday

This is a real story which depicts the value of Bhakthi and how to retain the "Unshaken Faith"...

Lord Sastha is Kshipra Prasadi - who grants all our desires immediately  - but beware....  whatever be our position - unshaken faith is something that is going to get us eternal happiness.... 

This temple is located exactly in the town area of Thirunelveli near Junction Area. Our Lord Sastha is called Erichamudayar here. (Wherever i visit Tirunelveli i don't miss darshanam at this place -

Few centuries ago there was a severe drought in the land with rivers drying down, fields going bare and sky deprived of clouds. In the city resided a brahmana who was poverty-stricken but innocent and not dissatisfied.  He was so much devoted to the Lord Erichamudayar and was worshiping Lord Sastha who was all alone here. He would wash the temple and do the puja as much as he can - beginning from bathing the Deity and ending with offering arati. Thus he felt great happiness. Everybody started praising his devotion and attachment towards Lord Sastha. 

Padikkasu Sastha

Lord Sastha began smiling; In his dream the God appeared to say that He was pleased with his service and He would give one gold coin everyday in the temple entrance step. Hailing the Peak of grace, the next day he rushed to the temple and completed his puja and to his surprise found a golden coin at the entrance. The devotee can't believe his good fortune and becomes even more incredulous the following day when he discovers another golden coin. Day after day, upon awakening, he rushes to the temple, completes his puja to find another golden coin on the entrance step. He becomes richer soon. 

After many days had passed in this way, the devotee slowly underwent a transformation which he would have not even dreamt of. Along with the anugraha of the Lord comes a hidden thing called His pariksha. And the devotee slowly became greedy. His attachment towards the Lord slowly started diminishing and the very puja which he did with so much involvement, became mechanical. Most of the time his mind was fixed with the gold coin that the Lord. With the increasing wealth came impatience.

When impatience and greediness came inside, innocence was lost. Very soon the "faith" was also shaken. He believed that the temple steps had some a great lump of gold in its inside. Unable to wait day after day for the gold coins, he decided to break open the steps and dig out all the gold coins at once. But when he opened the steps, he founds it full empty. There are no gold coins! 

Again that day the God appeared in his dream to warn that he had failed to pass His test - now its his duty to continue the regular puja. Lord Sastha smiled again;

Now there is no way to get any more. Once the faith is lost, the grace is also lost. 

This temple is still located in the Junction Area of Thiruneveli town. Lord Erichamudayar Sastha is popularly known as "Padikkasu Sastha" after the above incident.
